The year ahead gets off to a flyer with the remaining day of recording at Henry Wood Hall of the complete chamber music of Robert Furstenthal. Works to be added are sonatas for Flute, horn and oboe in which I will be joined by Kathryn Thomas, Nicholas Korth and Malcolm Messiter. The project stretches to 4 CDs involving members of the Rossetti Ensemble and will be issued by Toccata Classics later this year. It has been a privilege to get to know and perform this highly personal music (much of it never played before) by a composer totally unknown to the general public. Some further info on Furstenthal here....... https://toccataclassics.com/discovering-robert-furstenthal-and-his-lost-lieder/ Also three recitals with Tasmin Little this month in Bradford, Oswestry and Mold (Theatre Clwyd). Details on Tasmin's website here..... http://www.tasminlittle.com/pages/02_pages/02_set_concerts.htm Most excited to be preparing for my performance of Beethoven Emperor Concerto on February 1st at St. Martin in the Fields.
